Charlie Sheen sorry for "disrespectful" Ashton Kutcher comments

By
Charlie Sheen has apologised for his "disrespectful" comments about his Two and a Half Men successor Ashton Kutcher.

The 46-year-old, who was fired from the sitcom last year after a series of public outbursts, said last week that he was "tired of pretending that [Kutcher] doesn't suck" and accused writers of letting the show "go adrift".

Sheen has since published an open letter to Kutcher saying that he was sorry for throwing the actor "into the crossfire" when expressing his distaste for the show.

"Dear Ashton, my bad," the letter obtained by TMZ started. "I was disrespectful to a man doing his best.

"I got excited and I threw you into the crossfire, but the rest of my statement I stand behind. You however, deserve better. Safety in your travels good sir."

Sheen has previously spoken highly of Kutcher's performance in Two and a Half Men.

Last month, he called for the CBS sitcom to be axed after the latest season.
