Angus T Jones 'likely to leave Two and a Half Men at end of season'

By
Angus T Jones is reportedly considering leaving Two and a Half Men when his current contract ends.

The 19-year-old actor made headlines this week by referring to Two and a Half Men as "filth" in a church testimonial, but has since apologised for offending his co-workers.

A Two and a Half Men insider has now claimed to E! News that Jones will honour his current contract through the end of the season, although he is "unlikely" to sign an extension for next year.

"He won't be in every episode [this year]," the insider said. "How much they use him will be up to [creator] Chuck Lorre. The intention wasn't ever for him to be in every ep this year anyway. Now it might be less."

The Two and a Half Men source also discussed Jones's involvement with the Forerunner Christian Church, the preacher for which has compared Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler.

"Part of the reason Angus is so wary of the [TV] industry and so involved with the church is that he's seen what's happened to Charlie [Sheen] front and centre," the insider explained. "He doesn't want to end up like that. Who would?"

Jones has not commented on this latest report.

The actor was not on the Two and a Half Men set for a table read this week because his character Jake has not been written into the next two episodes. He is likely to return after the holiday break.
