"NBC now says it will air a pilot with 'Playboy' in its name and the production company is requiring performers to sign a nudity clause," he said. "[This is] something virtually unheard of for broadcast TV."
He continued: "Either they cannot distinguish the difference between Showtime and broadcast television, or they are choosing to ignore those differences. Every parent in America should be concerned, and every regulator involved in the oversight process should be ashamed."
In recent months, the Parents' Television Council has protested against MTV's remake of teen drama Skins and also criticised ABC for the title of new pilot Good Christian Bitches.
The Playboy Club pilot, which recently wrapped filming in Chicago, stars Eddie Cibrian, Laura Benanti, David Krumholtz and Amber Heard.
