Forbes, Sexton for AMC's 'Killing'

Michelle Forbes (True Blood) and Brent Sexton (W.) have joined AMC drama pilot The Killing, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Actors Eric Ladin (Generation Kill) and Jamie Anne Allman (The Notebook) have also been cast in the project.

The show centres on a police investigation of a young girl's murder.

Forbes and Sexton will play Mitch and Stanley, the victim's parents. Allman has signed to play Mitch's younger sister.

Ladin will portray Jamie, a mayoral candidate's (Billy Campbell) campaign manager.

Monster director Patty Jenkins has agreed to helm the pilot, which also stars Joel Kinnaman as Holder, an ex-police officer.
