The Desperate Housewives star will portray Lt. Carlson, a new detective who joins the hunt for Rosie Larsen's killer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor, who plays Mary Alice Young's widower Paul on Desperate Housewives, is expected to appear in at least eight episodes of the AMC drama's second season.
The Killing stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman as partners investigating Rosie's death.
A number of fans expressed disappointment over the finale of the first season, which failed to resolve the show's central murder mystery. Enos however defended the controversial finale, saying that she believes the cliffhanger is "really smart storytelling".
In November, Moses landed a guest-starring role on the USA series Fairly Legal.
The Killing will return in the spring.
