According to TVLine, both Netflix and DirecTV have expressed interest in picking up a third season of the series.

Netflix recently revived the cult comedy Arrested Development, and production has now begun on ten all-new episodes of the show.

DirecTV is currently airing the final season of Glenn Close's drama Damages, which was cancelled by FX after three seasons on air.

There is no word yet on whether a deal concerning a third season of The Killing will go through.
