Entourage creator Doug Ellin has confirmed that a movie of the series is definitely in the works.

The HBO comedy is currently airing its eighth and final season. However, Ellin has said that plans are already in place for a feature film.

"We're going to do a movie," he told Entertainment Weekly during a recent press tour.

"We're going to do it. It's a question of when and how quick. We'll sit down and come up with an idea."

Entourage executive producer Mark Wahlberg, who has been vocal about his desire for a film continuation, admitted that he was hopeful that the movie would come to fruition.

"I certainly hope it has a chance to become a feature film, everybody always says the episodes are too short," Wahlberg added. "[Viewers] want to go on a journey. The Hangover to me is like Entourage."

Entourage airs on HBO on Sundays at 10.30pm in the US, and on Mondays at 10.30pm on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
