The actress, who plays Adalind Schade, has been promoted as a regular, which will be "effective immediately", reports TVLine.
Grimm is a fantasy procedural drama that follows homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a descendent of the 'Grimms'.
The show recently cast Jason Gedrick in a guest-starring role as a murderer put away by Burkhardt's partner Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby).
Coffee's credits include the soap show General Hospital, Franklin & Bash and The League.
Season two of Grimm will premiere on Friday, September 28 at 9pm on NBC.
