Get Shorty actor Farina will appear as charming conman Walt Miller in an early 2013 episode of the Zooey Deschanel sitcom, TVLine reports.

Nick (Jake Johnson) will be suspicious of his estranged father's motives when he suddenly reappears in his life.
Farina's past television credits include roles on HBO's short-lived drama Luck and on long-running crime series Law & Order. The 68-year-old has also appeared in such films as 1998's Saving Private Ryan and 2000's Snatch.
The Newsroom's Olivia Munn has also joined New Girl as Nick's new love interest.
Jake Johnson recently joked that he had trouble keeping his cool while filming romantic scenes with the actress and TV host.
"It was hard to stay Nick Miller and not be nerd Jake Johnson doing make out scenes with Olivia Munn," he admitted. "But she's great."
New Girl continues on Tuesday nights on Fox and is expected to return to E4 in the UK in early 2013.
