The final instalment of the ABC drama's first run - titled 'Reckoning' - will air on May 23.
"Going forward, it's a pretty mad dash to the finale," Paolo told Entertainment Weekly.
"In it, there's some heartbreak, there are a couple new faces, and a couple old faces. You'll see a lot of old faces."
The actor also hinted that viewers should not rule out a reunion between his character Declan and Charlotte (Christa B Allen).
"I think there's always hope," he said. "Love is only so far away from hate. I think right now they've got a lot of hurdles to jump if they're going to stay together.
"They're both angry with each other. There's a big well of miscommunication between them right now."
Revenge exec Mike Kelley previously hinted that the "big" finale will feature a "major" death.
"There are going to be a number of characters in jeopardy and we will definitely have somebody not make it through," he teased.
Revenge airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on ABC. The series will air on E4 in the UK later this year.
