The actress - who won an Emmy Award for the series on Sunday (September 23) - has revealed to Access Hollywood that her real-life pregnancy didn't temper the action on the hit series.

"It's going to get intense," Danes promised. "We're learning about where the season is going as it's unfolding and they're not taking it easy on me... [My pregnancy is] all okay... I've been very lucky so far."
Fellow Emmy winner Damian Lewis concurred with Danes, adding the viewers can expect even more shocks and thrills in season two.
"[The writers] haven't compromised the show," Lewis promised, adding of Danes's pregnancy: "This baby could come early if she gets chased across too many more rooftops!"

Danes previously revealed that he enjoyed taking a break from playing bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison on the Showtime series prior to season two.
Homeland returns for a second season on Sunday, September 30 at 10pm ET/PT on Showtime in the US and in the UK on October 7 on Channel 4.
