Homeland star Navid Negahban has commented on playing a fictional terrorist.
The Homeland actor was asked by TMZ while out in LA how he feels about playing "terrorist" Abu Nazir on the Emmy-winning Showtime series.
"It depends how you look at it," he answered.
He went on to say: "Sometimes the terrorists in other countries are all the heroes."
Homeland has been praised for its realistic depiction of terrorism, especially for its portrayal of US solider-turned-terrorist sympathiser Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis).
Negahban featured in several episodes of Homeland's first season as the world's most wanted terrorist Abu Nazir, prior to becoming a series regular for season two.
The actor previously appeared on 24 as a member of the Islamic Republic of Kamistan's peace delegation.
