'Homeland' Diego Klattenhoff 'not returning as a series regular'

By
Diego Klattenhoff will reportedly not be a series regular in the next season of Homeland.

However, a source told TVLine that Klattenhoff is expected to make occasional appearances in the next run of the hit Showtime drama.

Klattenhoff plays Mike Faber, a Marine major who is also the best friend of former prisoner of war Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis).

Faber, who thought Brody was dead in Iraq, subsequently began a relationship with his wife Jessica Brody (Morena Baccarin). Baccarin apparently will return in season three as a regular.

Last week, Lewis took home a Golden Globe Award for 'Best Actor in a TV Series', while Claire Danes won for 'Best Actress in a TV Series'.

Homeland is set to premiere its third season on Sunday, September 29 at 9pm on Showtime.
