Supernatural star Jim Beaver will return to Justified.

The actor tweeted that he will be reprising his role as Shelby for potentially multiple episodes in the show's third season, which will start in the US in January.

Beaver announced: "Just booked a new arc on JUSTIFIED. Could be as many as 7 episodes, maybe more. Same character as last time."

He later posted on TV Line: "Right now, I'm booked for one, which sets up the arc. They haven't ironed out exactly how many, and it could end up being substantially less than 7."

Shelby was seen in one episode of Justified's second season, sharing scenes primarily with Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) at the mine.

Other actors signed up for the Timothy Olyphant-starring drama include Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neal McDonough, Mykelti Williamson and Carla Gugino.

Beaver is best known on television for his roles as Bobby Singer in Supernatural and Whitney Ellsworth in Deadwood. He has also appeared in Breaking Bad recently, and has featured in Harper's Island and Taye Diggs's Day Break.
