'Smash': Watch a clip from NBC's new show

There are all sorts of new dramas in NBC's 2011-2012 season, from a procedural to fantasy. There's even a new musical show in there, courtesy of Smash! The show stars Will & Grace's Debra Messing as Julia, who starts developing a new Broadway production about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Among the other famous faces in the series is former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee, whose character is determined to land the lead role in Julia's new musical. But first she'll have to beat a Broadway veteran, played by Megan Hilty. The project's being executive produced by none other than Steven Spielberg, and though it's not hitting screens until midseason, we're getting excited already. Watch a clip from Smash below!
