As a result, Jonny Lee Miller's Sherlock Holmes drama has been granted two extra episodes, with Elementary's first season now running for 24 episodes, Deadline reports.

Fellow CBS drama Vegas has seen its own episode order cut as a result of the reshuffle - the Dennis Quaid period drama will now run for 21, rather than 22, episodes.
