Felicity Huffman, who plays Lynette Scavo on the show, recently announced that she wants the programme to continue for ten years because it is a "dream job".
Denton - Mike Delfino in the ABC drama - has now said that he hopes all of the female cast members feel the same way.
"The women are the ones who have to sign up," he told E! News. "Whatever they slide across the table, I'll sign.
"Honestly, I say that jokingly, but I really am kind of curious, because it's almost time to start renegotiating with the women. And I really hope they all feel the same way as Felicity, because it is such a fun show."
He added: "The women can all, of course, do whatever they want career-wise, so we may not be able to keep them all, but we really don't have a show without them, so I'm glad she feels that way because I think ten is a nice number."
The sixth season of Desperate Housewives continues Sundays at 9pm on ABC in the US and Wednesdays at 10pm on Channel 4 in the UK.
