Desperate Housewives' executive producer Bob Daily has promised that Paul will face some problems this season.

Paul (Mark Moses) returned to Wisteria Lane in last night's season premiere and Daily told TV Guide that he will be looking for revenge.

However, Daily added that Paul's relationship with his new wife Beth (Emily Bergl), who he met in prison, will be tested.

"He's thrilled to be out of prison and thinking, 'Great, now I can have a real-life relationship with my wife'," he explained. "And she's thinking, 'Oh no, I thought he was going to be in prison for the rest of his life, I didn't realise I would ever have to have a real relationship with him'."

Daily also suggested that Beth will have a secret and added that Felicia (Harriet Sansom Harris) will be angry that Paul was released from prison.

"She thinks that he should still have to pay for what he did," he said. "So she will use allies [on Wisteria Lane] to do that."

Desperate Housewives continues on Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.
