"I kind of have to say that my hunch is, you might be seeing him shortly," said his old friend and fellow Hall of Famer Gene Okerlund last week.
With his departure from TNA last year, next month's launch of the WWE Network and WrestleMania XXX on the horizon, now seems as good a time as any for another burst of Hulkamania.
Hogan made his pro-wrestling debut in 1977 and is a six-time WWF/E champion, one-time World Tag Team Champion and six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.

Talking to 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper suggested a renewal of their classic rivalry with an unscripted, one-on-one bout at WrestleMania XXX.
But should Hogan return? And if he does, would it be right for him to go toe-to-toe as a 60-year-old, having suffered countless injuries during his 35+ year career?
Another option is a non-wrestling role, perhaps inducting another of his old rivals - The Ultimate Warrior - into the WWE Hall of Fame?
