Parks and Recreation star Aziz Ansari has revealed details about the upcoming third season.

The actor told Zap2it that his character Tom will begin to achieve his dreams in future episodes.

"He has always been dreaming about this life [where he is] owning this nightclub and all that stuff, and there's a lot of him just trying to finally make some serious moves to go for it," he explained.

He added: "Through the season, it's kind of cool [because] you see him slowly gain a couple of wins. You see him do a couple of things that go... well."

He also confirmed that Tom will finally achieve his dream of investing in a nightclub.

"[Tom becomes] a minority investor in a tiny nightclub, but to him that's a huge deal," he said. "He treats it like [he is] Jay-Z owning the 40-40 Club."

However, Ansari suggested that the sarcastic government official is "not confident enough" to leave Pawnee and live out his fantasy life.

"He's trying to reach for a lifestyle that you'd probably have a lot better chance of getting in a place like New York or Los Angeles," he admitted. "But he stays in Pawnee [and] does what we he can."

Parks and Recreation returns to NBC this Thursday at 9.30/8.30c.
