Harris reprises 'One Tree Hill' role

Danneel Harris is returning to One Tree Hill, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The actress, who played superbitch Rachel Gatina between 2005 and 2008, has closed a deal to reprise her role in at least seven episodes of the show's seventh season.

Rachel was involved in a series of controversial storylines, including drug overdose, plastic surgery and a fake pregnancy. She was last seen fleeing Tree Hill after stealing money from Brooke's apartment.

Following the departures of Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton from the CW teen drama series, Shantel VanSanten has joined as Haley's sister, Robert Buckley has been added as Nathan's agent, and Jana Kramer has been cast as Alexis, the face of Brooke's clothing line.

It was recently reported that Tree Hill storylines may have advanced by a year when the series returns on Monday, September 14.
