Katherine Heigl staying at 'Grey's'

"She’s absolutely staying with the show,” said ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson. "There’s a unbelievable storyline for her this year, which is really essential to everything that’s going to go on."
Heigl, who won a best supporting actress Emmy last year, made a point of taking a dig at the Grey's writers by pulling out of the upcoming awards.
She said at the time: "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organisation, I withdrew my name from contention."
McPherson said the statement was "really unfortunate" but praised Heigl as “a fantastically talented actress". He said show creator Shonda Rhimes had "crafted" the new story for her and was "really excited" about it.
