Capshaw signs new 'Grey's' deal

Jessica Capshaw has signed up for an extended stay on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The new deal means that the actress is contracted to stay with the show until the end of the current season, with the option of returning as a series regular next fall.

Capshaw, who plays lesbian Arizona Robbins in the medical drama, has received a mixed response from fans since joining the show when her character replaced Erica Hahn as the girlfriend of Callie Torres.

Fans were outraged when Brooke Smith, who played Erica Hahn, was axed from the show last year.
