JDM returns to 'Grey's Anatomy'

Shonda Rhimes has confirmed Jeffrey Dean Morgan's return to Grey's Anatomy.

The show's creator told USA Today that Morgan will soon return as Izzie's late fiancé Denny Duquette for an important part of the story.

"We're heading on a journey," said Rhimes. "[Viewers] are in the middle and don't have a map, so they can feel lost. But I know where we're going.

"For me, it's about looking at the larger picture."

She also cryptically revealed: "Just a reminder - he's not a ghost, and we should all remember what his appearance means."
