Raver, who has previously starred in 24 and Lipstick Jungle, made her debut in the ninth episode of the show's sixth season as a possible love interest for Kevin McKidd's Owen.
Since arriving at Seattle Grace, her character Teddy Altman has stirred things up by declaring that she has feelings for Owen, setting up a love triangle between the pair and Christina.
The 40-year-old actress is expected to appear in all but one of the remaining episodes in season six, which returns to ABC Thursday, January 14.
