Journeyman star Kevin McKidd is in advanced talks to take a central role in the next season of Grey's Anatomy, according to rumours.
The Scottish actor, who also appeared in Rome, is in line to play a doctor who has recently returned from working in Iraq, Entertainment Weekly has reported.
Journeyman drew critical acclaim but was axed by NBC after a 12-episode run.
