'Prison Break' S04E08: 'The Price'

Stylishly shot in cold blue, the brutal scenes of Gretchen interrogating Sara provided a few shocks, but more importantly set the scene for another encounter between the pair. When it did arrive, it didn't disappoint and provided a fascinating and psychologically complex portrait of two women dealing with their past traumas. On a more superficial level, it was also a fine excuse for the sexy Gretchen to shed some clothing.
The supremely expendable character of Roland was wisely axed, and his final moments were also his most effective as it drew out the best in those around him. The decision to kill the techie off allowed Scofield to display both his cunning side through the laptop trap that exposed Roland, plus his compassion as he clutched the hand of the dying man who betrayed him. The events leading up to the death also facilitated a revival in hitman Wyatt's fortunes, as he mercilessly shot the man who did him a massive favour.
The only major downside to the episode came with the marginalisation of the brilliant Mahone and a needless early flashback to 2001 that demonstrated Lincoln Burrows has always been a monosyllabic brute. But with so much to enjoy, the next Prison Break episode cannot arrive on the screen soon enough.
