S03E04: 'Good Fences'
Prison Break continues to keep that shark jumping at bay thanks to a sturdy episode that nicely built the intrigue throughout, keeping us guessing what Schofield was up to with the electricity and gravedigging before all was ultimately revealed.

The unveiling of Sara's head in the box was designed to be the main talking point, but this revelation fell slightly flat and was pointlessly conveyed to us through means of flashback. Sara's character had felt rather dead before that stage, as the conspicuous absence of her face in previous episodes – due to Sarah Wayne Callies in the role – highlighted the fact that if they weren't bringing on board a new actress then it won't be long before the daisies are being pushed.

The abundance of watchable supporting characters within the Fox River prison helped to make the first season of the show so compelling, but the same camaraderie and fun has been absent in Sona. Nonetheless, Mahone's new supply of drugs could see him raise his game in future episodes, whilst T Bag was back on devilish form in his bid to rise through the ranks of Lechero's crew. The appearance of Haywire – via Mahone's hallucinations - came as a welcome shock, although his appearance in the pre-credits 'previously on…' sequence did kind of signpost it a little.

Susan promises much as a character. Exuding both menace and feminine allure, her responsibility for the horrific demise of Sara could mean she'd automatically become a pure hate figure. Yet her speech to Burrows - saying that she, like him, is a mere soldier except on a different army – helped to give her persona a great deal of ambiguity.
