The 24-year-old actor, who recently starred in Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock, has reportedly signed up for five or six episodes as the lead male singer of Vocal Adrenaline.
His character, described by the show's co-creator Ryan Murphy as "a male diva... a miva", will also act as a potential love interest for Lea Michele's Rachel Berry.
Murphy recently revealed that the cast of Glee will go on tour next summer.
