'Glee' cast recording goes gold

The Glee stars' recording of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' has reached gold status.

The song has been downloaded 500,000 times since it first featured on the show in May, according to Buddy TV.

Other songs from the hit Fox musical comedy have topped the two million mark so far on downloads and seven tracks are now on the iTunes Top 200 chart.

The cast of Glee have recorded two forthcoming LPs and will cover Wham! song 'Last Christmas' as a one-off single.

First soundtrack Glee: The Music Volume 1 will be released on November 3 and the 17-song album will feature their renditions of 'Bust A Move' and 'Sweet Caroline'.

The tracklist also includes two unaired songs, 'Defying Gravity' from Wicked and Billy Idol's 'Dancing With Myself', which will be featured in forthcoming episodes.
