Glee actor Matthew Morrison has revealed that he is to release a debut solo LP.

The 31-year-old, who plays teacher Will Schuester on the Fox musical comedy, said that his effort will sound like "a classier Justin Timberlake", Access Hollywood reports.

He stated: "Right now, I've almost finalised a record deal and am going to be working on an album. It's going to be different.

"I would consider it a classier Justin Timberlake album. It's going to be me and a big orchestra, but also with beats."

The cast of Glee have two LPs and a one-off cover of 'Last Christmas' by Wham! due out this month. Their recording of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' recently reached gold status.
