Chris Colfer has admitted that he feels "lonely" on this season of Glee.

Colfer's character Kurt recently moved schools, leaving McKinley High to join Blaine (Darren Criss) at Dalton Academy.

However, Colfer told TV Line that being at a different school from the rest of the characters feels "odd".

"It feels like I'm on a different show," he said. "It's kind of lonely to be honest, because I don't have Amber [Riley, who plays Mercedes] there with me. It's weird. I feel like a guest star."

Colfer also revealed that Kurt and Blaine were almost not in the upcoming Super Bowl episode, saying: "It definitely made me a little nervous that they were having a huge episode without my character, to be sure. But they did squeeze us in. We're in it for, like, a minute, but it's a very happy minute."

Glee returns for a new episode after the Super Bowl on February 6 on Fox. The second season premieres in the UK on Monday at 9pm on E4.
