Fox announces 2011-2012 premiere dates

Fox has unveiled the details of its new television lineup for the fall 2011-2012 season.

The network revealed the return dates of old favourites such as Glee, House, Fringe and Bones, as well as the premiere dates for new shows like Terra Nova, Allen Gregory and I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

On Monday, September 26, the highly-anticipated series Terra Nova will debut in a special two-hour event beginning at 8pm. Produced by Steven Spielberg, the show tells the story of a family that travels back in time to prehistoric Earth in an attempt to save the human race.

Starting Monday, October 3, Terra Nova will air at 8pm, followed by the season premiere of the medical drama House at 9pm.

Glee will kick off its third season on Tuesday, September 20 at 8pm, followed by the series premiere of New Girl at 9pm, which features actress Zooey Deschanel as a girl who moves in with three guys after splitting from her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Raising Hope will return for its sophomore season at 9.30pm.

The X Factor USA will launch with a two-night premiere over Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22 from 8pm to 10pm both evenings.

Wednesday, November 23 will see the premiere of the new comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter at 9.30pm. Starring Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran, the comedy series follows two single mothers who fear that their respective daughters have become high school "mean girls".

Bones is scheduled to begin Thursday, November 3 at 9pm, following the completion of the 2011 Major League Baseball World Series.

Friday, September 23 will see the premiere of a new season of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares at 8pm. Meanwhile, the sci-fi series Fringe starring Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson will follow at 9pm.

Cops will kick off its 24th season on Saturday, September 10 at 8pm, followed by an encore episode of the series at 8.30pm. In addition, America's Most Wanted will premiere the first of its two-hour quarterly specials on Saturday, October 29 at 8pm.

Sundays will see the return of Fox's Animation Domination, with a string of new and familiar animated series from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Starting on Sunday, September 25, The Simpsons will premiere at 8pm, followed by The Cleveland Show at 8.30pm, Family Guy at 9pm and American Dad at 9.30pm.

On Sunday, October 30, The Cleveland Show will move to 7.30pm to make room for the new series Allen Gregory, which follows a precocious 7-year-old being raised by homosexual parents.
