It was recently revealed that House (Hugh Laurie) will pick up Wilde's character from jail and take her on a road trip, determined to uncover the secret of her incarceration.
"She really does appreciate his acceptance of her," the actress told Entertainment Weekly. "Sometimes, I think that she feels he's the only person in the world who understands her. Certainly after this episode."
Wilde revealed that the pair will grow closer after House makes a "shocking" admission.
"It's shocking to her because of the vulnerability that he expresses along with it," she explained. "He's reaching out to her and showing her his rawness.
"He's been perfectly happy in the past to drop bombs about himself that he doesn't seem to be very emotionally affected by, but it's the fact that [this time] he seems thrown off his comfort base a bit."
House's executive producer David Shore previously claimed that Wilde's return to the show will be "cool", while Amber Tamblyn has confirmed that Thirteen will cross paths with her departing character Martha Masters.
House will return to Fox on April 11.
