The showrunner told TVLine that the last four instalments of the medical drama's eighth season will "build" to the finale.
"The final four episodes are, to some extent, [part] of a piece," he said. "But the last one is very, very much a much separate culmination of those episodes."
However, Shore warned House fans not to put the finale "under... a microscope" once it airs on May 21.
"I understand that people are going to be paying attention to it, but… we will have done 177 episodes [in total]," he said.
"I would like to think every single one of them speaks for the series. I don't think this one should speak much louder than the rest of them."
Shore also confirmed that "a few" former cast members will return to House for the finale.
It was recently announced that Olivia Wilde (Thirteen) will reprise her role, while both Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) and Jennifer Morrison (Cameron) have ruled out a comeback.
House continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox. The show airs on Sky1 in the UK.
