Patrick Stump has been cast in a guest role for House.

The Fall Out Boy singer will appear in the April 16 episode about a patient who cries tears of blood, according to Zap2it.

Last year, Stump released his debut solo effort Soul Punk under Island Records, which featured a collaboration with rapper Lupe Fiasco on the lead single 'This City'.

Fall Out Boy announced in 2010 that they were going on a hiatus from creating music together to prevent causing friction in their friendship.

"Rather than get to the stage where we would break up or not be friends with each other, we chose to just take a break," the band's bassist, Pete Wentz, said.

"If and when we come back it will be for the right reasons, because it's fun again, [because] we want to be on tour."

House airs on Mondays 9/8pm ET on Fox.
