The last episode of the Fox medical drama - due to air on May 21 - will be called 'Everybody Dies'.
The name - revealed by TVLine - reflects the title given to the show's 2004 pilot episode 'Everybody Lies'.
The climactic instalment has been co-written and directed by House creator David Shore.
Shore previously described 'Everybody Dies' as "a fitting ending" for the veteran series, adding that the final four episodes of season eight will "build" to the finale.
"The final four episodes are, to some extent, [part] of a piece," he said last month. "But the last one is very, very much a much separate culmination of those episodes."
Former House stars Olivia Wilde (Thirteen) and Kal Penn (Kutner) will both reprise their roles in the final episode, while both Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) and Jennifer Morrison (Cameron) have ruled out a comeback.
House continues on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox. The show airs on Sky1 in the UK.
