Trammell, who plays Sam Merlotte, told TV Guide that he is pleased with his scenes in the new episodes.
"We explore the shape-shifting community, the mythology of shape-shifters, and that kind of thing," he said. "It's going to be cool.
"That means a really good season for me. I do some trippy stuff. And there is a love interest for me."
The fourth season of True Blood is scheduled to premiere on June 12 at 9pm on HBO.
