True Blood Season 5 trailer still
Hello again and welcome to the latest Digital Spy live-blog direct from the San Diego Comic-Con 2012. We're back in the convention centre's Ballroom 20 to bring you live updates from the final panel of the day here - True Blood!

Anna Paquin (Sookie), Stephen Moyer (Bill), Alexander Skarsgård (Eric), Christopher Meloni (Roman), Kristin Bauer (Pam), Ryan Kwanten (Jason), Sam Trammell (Sam), Rutina Wesley (Tara), Joe Manganiello (Alcide), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica) will all join departing showrunner Alan Ball on stage for this packed panel - keep it here for the scoop!

17:36And that's your lot for the True Blood panel here at the 2012 Comic-Con - stay tuned to Digital Spy tomorrow for more coverage from the final day of the Con!

17:35In a heartwarming end to the panel, Stephen Moyer leads the audience in a standing ovation for departing showrunner Alan Ball. "It's been the most fun I've had in my career," says a choked-up Alan.

17:34"We work on a show where we get to do the most extraordinary things all the time," Stephen adds. "Every time you think you've done the most incredible thing you're going to do, you're given another amazing thing."

17:32The final fan asks the cast to name their most memorable True Blood moments - Ryan picks wearing his He-Man Onesie, while Anna - in more serious mode - chooses the final scene of this year's finale! "Stay tuned..."

17:29Ryan Kwanten just displayed an unusual talent - he can walk on his hands, at quite a pace. It's rather impressive!

17:27Alan reveals that there is "one... possibly two" more seasons of True Blood coming in the future and that we may see the Faerie war in upcoming episodes.

17:25Will we see any new romances in the future? "I can think of three that are going to happen, this season!" Alan reveals - sounds like big changes are afoot!

17:23Alexander hands his name card - signed, to boot - to an eager fan. He even blows her a kiss. Awww....

17:22A slightly left-field question. Would Chris Meloni consider an SVU return? "I'm always willing to consider - I had 12 great years of the show and I loved the people, I loved the show. There's no bad blood there."

17:21It's that time again - audience questions! The first fan wants to know if we'll see the Were-Tiger from the novel series. "As of now, there are no plans for that," says Alan. "But I am stepping back from running the show and [the new showrunners] may choose otherwise."

17:19Do the cast ever get weirded out by some of the gross stuff on the series? Sam Trammell admits that he got disturbed by a burnt Stephen back in season one - Anna also refused to talk to him!

17:17How has Rutina felt playing the "new" Tara? "It's been awesome!" she admits. "It's been an incredible journey - if you'd asked me four years ago, I would never have thought my character would be turned. So it's been terrifying but awesome!"

17:13Now here's a big question - will Alexander star in the 50 Shades of Grey movie? "I've gotta read that book," he says. "I haven't read a script. All I heard was that he's got a chamber in his basement?" He seems mystified by the whole saucy phenomenon.

17:11Stephen's been wanting to direct since the end of season one, it emerges, and observed the work of other directors on the show to hone his craft.

17:09What's coming up in Stephen's episode then? "I absolutely adore Sam Trammell - he is an amazing actor," he gushes. "He had one of the toughest jobs on my episode that you could possibly have!" Beyond that, he's keeping schtum!

17:06Will anyone else follow in Stephen's footsteps and direct a True Blood episode? No-one seems keen - they saw the toll it took on Stephen! "Being an actor himself, he really cares about the actors and the relationships," Alexander explains.

17:04Joe also teases that he will "sexually eviscerate" another character in an upcoming episode. Wow!

17:04Alan explains that he didn't want the show's faeries to be "Disney fairies" - "We wanted to be more adult, more sensual - more softcore porno faeries!"

17:02Will we see any flashbacks of the Stackhouse parents in future? Alan Ball confirms: "Yes, we're going to learn a little bit more about Michelle and Corbett Stackhouse, what happened to them and the remaining effect on Sookie and particularly Jason."

17:01Are there any "faerie throw-downs" in Sookie's future? "She always gets into some kind of action-y trouble!" Anna smiles.

17:00Just for good measure, Christopher does his own stripper dance move - it gets a warm reaction from the crowd!

16:59Christopher admits that he was desperate to stake somebody once he joined the show. "I didn't want to be walking around monologuing all the time!"

16:58How does True Blood compare to Law & Order: SVU, Christopher Meloni? "Trying to figure out what's a sex crime on this show is pretty hard," he responds with lightning wit.

16:55Is there more to come for Sam and Luna? "You know I can't tell you that!" responds a tight-lipped Sam Trammell - spoil sport!

16:53Even showrunner Alan Ball is getting in on the dancing action now - Joe Manganiello just threw him a dollar. Yes, this is actually happening!

16:52The issue of stripping brings us onto Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello - who teases the audience with a little striptease dance. His clothes remain on, but my ears hurt again from all the screaming!

16:51Is Tara exploring her more "leathery" side, costume-wise, this season? "It's been fun to dress up this year and have some thangs out!" Rutina laughs.

16:49Does Kristin have a favourite Pam outfit? "It's the one that I'm wearing at the moment - she keeps topping herself!"

16:46The "bromance" between Eric and Bill is raised. "We've been struggling with it the whole season," Alexander admits. "We've had a little too much fun together - it's been four years of us fighting over Sookie and now it's the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid moment."

16:42The moderator asks if there's a "beef" between True Blood and previous panel stars The Vampire Diaries. "We don't talk about them," insists Alan - relax, he's just kidding.

16:41The screams for Alexander Skarsgård are deafening. Ears... ringing... now...

16:39Yeah, so the audience liked that, just a little bit. And now here come the cast - all 11 of them!

16:36We begin with a video trailer, featuring sneak peeks of upcoming season five episodes - whoop!

16:36Here we go for the final time today - Alan Ball steps on stage to get the True Blood panel underway!
