'True Blood' casts ex-'EastEnders' star Rob Kazinsky

Rob Kazinsky has joined True Blood as a series regular.

The 28-year-old, who starred as Sean Slater on EastEnders between 2006 and 2009, will play a charismatic faerie named Ben, according to TVLine.

Kazinsky's character helps Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) discover more about the mystery of their parents' murders, and is said to develop mutual romantic feelings for Sookie.

Blade Runner star Rutger Hauer also recently joined the vampire drama as a sinister figure who has a mysterious connection to the Stackhouse siblings.

True Blood is set to return to HBO in the US in June 2013 and airs on FX in the UK.

Kazinsky can also be seen in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim, which will be released on July 12, 2013.
