S04E05: 'Monster Movie'

Sam and Dean head to Pennsylvania to investigate a possible vampire attack during Oktoberfest.

The mystery deepens when two more bodies turn up - a boy who appears to have been mauled by a werewolf and a museum night guard who has been strangled by an ancient mummy.

However, the boys soon discover that all is not what it seems and an encounter with Dracula leads Dean to suspect that they are dealing with a shapeshifter who is invoking the spirit of old Hollywood horror movies.

Adding to their problems is Dean's latest conquest Jamie, who finds herself the unwanted target of the legendary vampire's affections.

Filmed entirely in black and white, this episode marks a definite change from last week’s more sombre offering. Packed with nostalgic horror movie special effects, comedy and even an intermission, it sees the Winchesters back to their bantering, crime-fighting best.
