Maiara Walsh boards 'The Vampire Diaries'

The actress will appear in one episode of the upcoming second season, TV Guide reports.
She is expected to play Sarah, a high-school student who enjoys parties.
The show's executive producer Kevin Williamson explained: "Sarah is a girl who sets her eyes on Jeremy and encourages him to party it up at the Lockwood house."
Walsh previously starred in Desperate Housewives as Ana, the niece of Carlos and Gabrielle.
The Vampire Diaries returns for its second season on September 9 on The CW, while the episode featuring Walsh is expected to air on October 7.
