Summer Glau joining 'Dollhouse'?

Summer Glau may be joining the cast of Dollhouse, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Creator Joss Whedon is interested in casting the Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles actress in the second season of his sci-fi show.

"If anybody thinks [bringing Summer on to Dollhouse] hasn't occurred to me already then they have not met me," he said. "I mentioned it to her before [Sarah Connor] was cancelled. I was like, 'You know, we should get you in the house'. But first we have to come up with something that works."

Whedon added that he would not cast the actress as a Doll.

"Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she's done that [type of role] a lot," he reasoned. "I'd rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who's good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else."

Glau and Whedon have previously worked together on Firefly, Angel and the short film The Serving Girl.
