John Lithgow 'would make Dexter return'

Lithgow appeared in the fourth season as the Trinity Killer and was eventually murdered by Dexter. However, Dexter did not kill him in time to save his wife Rita (Julie Benz).
Speaking to On The Red Carpet, Lithgow joked: "If you're going to go off the show, that's the way to go."
He added that he would like to make a return to the series if it is possible.
"They've certainly made generous use of flashbacks over the first four seasons," he said. "So I don't know - it would be nice to see myself again."
Dexter is expected to return for its fifth season in September.
