The actor - who plays serial killer Dexter Morgan - admitted that people who work on the show enjoy speculating about the series finale.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "I think everybody from the cast to the writers to the producers speculates on how the show might end. I have some thoughts about it, but we're not quite there, in terms of deciding [how it will finish]."
Hall explained that there is a feeling on the Dexter set that the series might end in the near future.
"I think there is an underlying awareness that this [show] will have an end and an awareness of where this story ultimately might be heading."
However, he insisted that there have been "no formal conversations" regarding the end of the programme.
Dexter returns to Showtime for its fifth season on September 26.
