Carpenter 'had concerns about dating Hall'

Carpenter and Hall married in 2009 after dating for a year and a half.
However, Carpenter told the Los Angeles Times that she was initially worried that the relationship could affect their ability to play adopted siblings on Dexter.
"We were just friends, and it was very easy to be friends," she said. "We were both surprised when this other thing happened.
"We did a lot of talking about it - can we kiss, what will that mean, will we damage the credibility of our characters? We were very practical... But in the end, the heart wanted what the heart wanted."
Dexter continues on Sundays at 9pm on Showtime.
