The first two minutes of Dexter's seventh season have been shown to fans at Comic-Con.
The footage was previewed during a Q&A session for the show on Thursday afternoon (July 12).
The clip features Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) confronting Dexter (Michael C Hall) as he stands over the body of Travis Marshall (Colin Hanks).
Dexter pleads with Deb for understanding, claiming that Travis attacked him and he "snapped".
"There's been a lot of anger inside me since Rita died," he explains.
It was also revealed during the panel that Dexter's theme for its seventh season will be love and its consequences.
Dexter will return to Showtime for its seventh season on Sunday, September 30 at 9/8c. The show airs on FX in the UK.
Comic-Con International continues until July 15 at the San Diego Convention Centre.
