ABC has sidelined the remaining Ugly Betty season 3 episodes until June.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the network has opted to replace Betty - which was to resume on Thursday, March 26 - with episodes of Samantha Who? and Megan Mullally's new show In The Motherhood.
An ABC spokesperson said that the aim of the rescheduling is to create a Thursday-night comedy block, explaining: "The Thursday-night block is a good opportunity to launch these comedies. That said, Betty is a solid performer and there is no question that it will definitely be back to complete its season, just without repeats."
Ugly Betty, which attracted more than 10 million viewers when it debuted in 2006, has seen ratings dip below 6 million this season.
