The View co-hosts will play themselves and interrogate Eric Mabius’s Daniel Meade character on a segment of their morning chatshow, TV Guide reports.
"It really felt like a normal segment on our show," Hasselbeck said. "I felt we had a home-field advantage [at our studio]. It was [Eric Mabius's] character trying to fit in and feeling awkward - as I'm sure many guests do when we start grilling them!"
Behar said that their inclusion on an episode of Ugly Betty makes perfect sense.
"We're part of the national lexicon now. People use The View as a jumping-off point - for better or for worse," she explained.
Hasselbeck added that she was initially nervous about her acting abilities, but she and Behar were able to improvise and chalked up the experience as "a ton of fun" .
The season finale of Ugly Betty airs tonight on ABC in the US. It was recently revealed that the show will move to Friday nights next season.
