Ugly Betty hits new series low of 4.6m

Ugly Betty hit a new series low on Friday night, according to the latest viewing figures.

The 9pm screening pulled in 4.55m viewers, dropping around 540k on last week's poor premiere, which managed 5.09m across its two-hour period.

Elsewhere at 9pm, Medium logged 8.43m for CBS, 7.91m tuned in for Dateline on NBC, and The CW's America's Next Top Model rerun took 1.13m.

The latest instalment of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse logged 2.15m for Fox, down from the last episode, which aired two weeks' ago.

Ghost Whisperer led the 8pm hour, pulling in 8.46m for CBS. Its nearest rival, NBC's Law & Order, managed 7.17m.

ABC's Supernanny interested 4.7m, 2.52m watched Smallville on The CW, and Brothers and 'Til Death averaged 2.35m and 1.97m for Fox at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively.

At 10pm, The Jay Leno Show put in 6.15m for NBC, 20/20 took 5.6m for ABC, and 2.35m tuned in for Numb3rs on CBS.
